What Are Velvet Touch Visiting Cards?

Velvet Touch cards use a 350 GSM matboard base — 17% heavier than standard matte laminated cards — coated with a velvet soft-touch laminate that replicates the tactile sensation of suede leather. The coating is anti-scratch and anti-fingerprint, so the card surface remains pristine after repeated handling. CMYK inks sit beneath the velvet layer, producing deep, saturated colour even on dark and full-bleed backgrounds where lesser stocks wash out.

How It’s Printed

Cards are printed in full-colour CMYK on 350 GSM matboard using offset printing for precise dot reproduction on the heavier substrate. After printing, a velvet soft-touch laminate film is heat-bonded to the print surface under controlled roller pressure. The anti-scratch coating is integrated into the laminate layer, not applied separately. Sheets are then guillotine-cut to 90 mm × 54 mm with clean square corners.
