Design Guidelines
Everything you need to know to create print-ready designs for Printigly
File Format Requirements
PDF Files
Preferred format for all print jobs. Export as PDF/X-1a for best results. Ensures fonts are embedded and colors are accurate.
High-Res Images
Minimum 300 DPI resolution required. Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF. Low-resolution images will appear blurry in print.
Vector Files
AI, EPS, or SVG formats for logos and illustrations. Vector files scale perfectly to any size without quality loss.
Color Mode and Print Specs
CMYK Color Mode
- All print files must be in CMYK color mode
- RGB files will be auto-converted (colors may shift slightly)
- Pantone/spot colors – contact us for exact matching
- Use rich black (C:40 M:30 Y:30 K:100) for deep black areas
- Avoid using 100% of all four CMYK channels
Bleed and Safe Zone
- Bleed: Add 3mm bleed on all sides beyond trim line
- Safe Zone: Keep text/logos 5mm inside the trim line
- Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI at actual print size
- Trim Marks: Not required – we add them during pre-press
- Outline Fonts: Convert all text to outlines/curves in vector files
Product-Specific Dimensions
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using RGB instead of CMYK – colors will look different in print
- Low resolution images (below 300 DPI) – will appear pixelated
- Text too close to edges – may get cut during trimming
- Not embedding fonts – text may change on different systems
- Using screen colors as reference – monitor colors differ from print
- Sending Word/PowerPoint files – always export to PDF
