Spot UV Visiting Cards are printed on 350 GSM matboard with selective UV gloss coating applied to specific design elements at Printigly's Bangalore facility, established 1984.
What Are Spot UV Visiting Cards?
Spot UV is a finishing technique where a clear gloss coating is applied precisely over chosen areas of the card — a logo, a name, a pattern, or a graphic element — while the rest of the card remains matte. The contrast between the flat matte surface and the raised, glossy UV-coated areas creates both a visual depth effect and a tactile sensation when the card is handled. The result is a card that communicates premium production quality without relying on metallic stock or foil. It is the correct choice for professionals and brands where craftsmanship and attention to material detail are part of the identity.

How It's Printed
Cards are first printed in CMYK digital colour on 350 GSM matboard. After printing, a UV-curable liquid coating is applied through a screen or digital process to the specified spot areas, then cured instantly under UV light to create a hard, raised gloss layer. The precision of spot UV placement means logos, brand marks, or graphic elements can be coated to a sharp edge, creating a clean contrast against the surrounding matte surface.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order? 1,000 cards is the minimum for Spot UV Visiting Cards.
Do I need to mark the UV areas in my artwork? Yes. The spot UV layer needs to be indicated as a separate layer or channel in your design file — typically as a spot colour named "SpotUV" or a separate PDF layer. If you are unsure, send your design via WhatsApp after ordering and our team will guide you through the artwork setup.
Can spot UV be applied to both sides? Yes. Front & Back printing is available, and the spot UV can be applied to either or both sides of the card.
Does the gloss coating affect the print underneath? No. The CMYK print is applied first and fully cured before the UV coating is added. Colour accuracy and sharpness are unaffected.
How long does delivery take? 2–3 business days from Bangalore after proof approval, with courier service to all major Indian cities.
