Printigly has been printing custom T-shirts in Bangalore since 1984 — our apparel range starts at 100 units, and we dispatch same day before 4 PM for stock designs.
Choosing the Right Fabric for Custom T-Shirts
Fabric is the foundation of a good printed T-shirt. The print can be perfect, but if the fabric feels cheap, the garment fails. Here’s what’s available and what works for each use case.
Cotton (180 GSM – 220 GSM)
Pure cotton is breathable, comfortable, and the standard for most corporate and event T-shirts in India. The higher the GSM, the thicker and more premium the feel.
- Biowash Cotton (220 GSM): Pre-washed to prevent shrinkage. Softer feel. Recommended for premium employee gifts and retail merchandise.
- Standard Cotton (180 GSM): Budget-friendly for large event runs. Works well for 500+ piece orders.
EcoBlend (Cotton + Polyester)
Printigly’s EcoBlend fabric is 60% cotton + 40% recycled polyester. Benefits: better shape retention, reduced pilling, eco-credentials. Slightly less breathable than pure cotton, but more durable. Popular with startups and tech brands doing staff uniforms.
Performance Fabric (for Polo T-Shirts)
Our polo range includes PrimoKnit and AeroPiq performance fabrics. Moisture-wicking, quick-dry, and wrinkle-resistant. Recommended for field teams, sports events, and hospitality uniforms.
Print Methods: DTF, Screen Printing, and Embroidery Compared
DTF (Direct to Film) Printing
DTF is our primary print method at Printigly. A design is printed onto a special film and heat-transferred onto fabric. It produces photographic-quality prints with unlimited colours, works on all fabric types, and has no minimum per-design.
Best for: multicolour logos, photographic designs, gradients, and small-to-medium runs (100–500 pieces).
Screen Printing
A stencil (screen) is made for each colour, and ink is pushed through. Produces bold, vibrant prints that are extremely wash-durable. Very cost-effective for 1–3 colour designs at 500+ pieces.
Best for: simple logos, event T-shirts in large quantities, uniform colours.
Not suitable for: photographic images, gradients, or small quantities.
Embroidery
Logo is stitched directly into the fabric using thread. Premium, professional, and highly durable. Standard for corporate polo shirts and collared uniforms.
Best for: polo shirts, caps, hoodies — especially for client-facing teams.
Note: Embroidery works best with simple logos. Fine details and small text don’t embroider well below 8mm height.
Understanding Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ)
At Printigly, MOQ for all T-shirt printing is 100 units. This applies per design, not per size. So 100 units of mixed sizes (S/M/L/XL) counts as one order.
Quantity pricing tiers typically work like this:
- 100 units: Base price
- 250 units: ~8–12% discount
- 500 units: ~15–20% discount
- 1,000+ units: Custom quote — significant savings
For Diwali, Independence Day, or annual day events — order at least 7–10 days in advance for quantities above 500.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order for T-shirt printing in Bangalore?
At Printigly, the minimum order quantity is 100 units. This applies per design/colour. You can mix sizes (XS through 3XL) within that 100-unit minimum. For orders below 100, digital printing on demand is available at a higher per-unit cost — contact us to discuss options.
Which is better: DTF or screen printing for T-shirts?
For multicolour logos and photographic designs, DTF is superior — it handles unlimited colours and gradients with no extra cost. For simple 1–3 colour designs at 500+ pieces, screen printing is more cost-effective and produces a bolder, more vibrant result. At Printigly, we’ll recommend the right method based on your design and quantity.
How long does bulk T-shirt printing take at Printigly?
For 100–300 units, turnaround is typically 3–5 working days. For 500+ units, allow 5–7 working days. Polo shirts with embroidery take an extra 1–2 days. Rush orders for standard designs can sometimes be dispatched same day before 4 PM — call 72049 10047 to check availability.
