How It's Made
Your photo is converted to a high-contrast greyscale map, then translated into laser engraving depth instructions — lighter areas receive shallower burns, darker areas deeper burns. The CO₂ laser runs at 300–600 DPI across the wood surface, creating a continuous-tone engraving that reads as a photograph. After engraving, the surface is cleaned with compressed air and optionally hand-finished with a light natural varnish.

Is the engraving permanent?
